Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Conjuring up fantastic memories of Howe, Lindsay, Sawchuk, Kelly and the rest of the Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup dynasty of the 1950s is this vintage team jacket featuring an embroidered team crest. “Red Wings” is written out in script in red cable knit stitching on a white felt background on the awesome team crest sewn on the left breast, which displays “Detroit” in white cable knit embroidery on the red tail beneath the team name. A wonderfully embroidered crossed American and Canadian flags patch is sewn on the left sleave of this classic 1950s Red Wings jacket that measures out to a size 46 approximately. Knit cuffs, collar and hem remain in beautiful condition on this well-preserved beauty with some wear on the front and a light stain on the upper left back to note.
