Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The early-1990’s were magical for Mario Lemieux, in the short span of 3 years he was a first team all-star, he won a Bill Masterton, a Lester B. Pearson, a Hart, two Art Ross Trophies and a pair of Stanley Cups, where he was the MVP each time adding two Conn Smythe Trophies. This KOHO Revolution 2240 model stick was used by Mario during this productive period. Stamped “Lemieux” on the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job on both the blade and upper shaft/knob. The shaft shows black streaking throughout its length, as well as some light wear to the taped blade, otherwise there is not much game-wear to mention. Lemieux has also placed a thin black marker signature just above the striping sticker. An important stick used by one of the greatest at the height of his career.
