Calling all program collectors! This group of 4 New York Rangers programs span the years 1927-49. Four different programs are included, as well as seldom seen Rangers sheet music featuring J. Fred Cook’s “The Rangers Victory Song”.
– MSG program for a Nov. 22nd 1927 match against the Montreal Maroons. With both covers detached but present, the center line-up sheet is completely loose but in place, and the program is in good condition otherwise. Interesting ads include Alex Taylor & Co, the official supplier to the Rangers and Americans, Lucky Strike cigarette ad featuring Billy Burch and Hydrox Ice Cream, with the Ottawa Senators.
– MLG program for an April 9th 1940 match against the Maple Leafs. In excellent condition, the center line-up page is firmly in place, and no pages show any issues. With bright colours in and out, this is a high grade example of this program. Interesting ads include one for Alka-Seltzer featuring Sweeney Schriner.
– MSG program for a Dec. 16th 1941 match against the Americans. From the last season for the Americans when they were in Brooklyn, this program is in good condition with the center line-up page detached but present. Two small rips on the back cover start at the top and proceed downward about an inch.
– MSG program for the October 26th 1949 home-opener against the Bruins. Both the covers are detached but accounted for and the center line-up sheet has also come loose but is present. In good condition otherwise, this program has a humorous ad for French’s mustard that features hockey playing hot dogs. Associated newspaper clippings will accompany this program.
– New York Rangers sheet music from 1940. By J. Fred Coots and entitled “The Rangers Victory Song”, it is in good condition with some creasing and small tears.
