Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Created in 1971 as a reaction from the NHL to the upstart WHA, The Atlanta Flames played in 8 seasons before relocating and becoming the Calgary Flames. This Atlanta Flames Inaugural season team ring was presented to Jacques Richard and it is spectacular! Large size 11 ½, both flanks have a matching hockey player, with “J. Richard 15” on one side, and “Center 15” on the other. The Atlanta logo sits atop a centralized red stone, with “Atlanta Flames NHL” surrounding the centerpiece. With a weight of 29 grams, and proper “Jostens 10K” stamp on the inner band, this highly prized ring has no condition problems, and shows just honest wear from use. Magnificent!
