Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Most likely once displayed in the Montreal Forum or possibly the Quebec Colisee is this gigantic, white with black trim, canvas banner with the orange and black NHL logo in the middle heralding the 1893-1993 Stanley Cup Centennial. This 143” x 96” banner, saved in excellent condition with just a small scattering of marks, is a French-language piece with “Gravee de Reves” (Engraved of Dreams) on the bottom, “LNH” (Ligue Nationale de Hockey) in the center with a player and Cup image, and “Coupe Stanley 1893-1993” surrounding it. Complete with metal hole grommets and thin rope on the edges to hang it with, it’s a sensational piece that would look amazing on your large wall or hung in your local arena.
