Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Team USA would take home the bronze medal from the 1992 World Junior Championships staged in Germany, and it was U.S. goaltender Mike Dunham who would be named All-Star goalie for the sensational tourney. Offered is Dunham’s game-used goalie stick from those ’92 World Juniors, with “Dunham” stamped on the upper shaft, his original tape on the blade and knob, and with game marks lining the blade and upwards. Because of international sponsorship agreements, the stick manufacturer’s name etc. has been painted over in black and leaving it nameless, while on the blade tape and paddle are approximately 25 signatures from the U.S. junior squad that include Dunham plus Brian Mueller, Brian Rafalski, John Lilley, Todd Hall, Jim Campbell, Peter and Chris Ferraro, Brian Rolston, Chris Imes, Brent Bilodeau, Mike Prendergast, and a host of others, with no paling to the signatures whatsoever. The stick also includes a strip of tape placed on the upper shaft with handwritten text giving dates, plus “Mike Dunham’s bronze medal game stick” and “Bronze medal Team USA 1991-92 Fussen, Germany, Autographed, World Junior Championships”.
