Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
The Calgary Cannons were a minor league baseball team operating from 1985 until 2002, and they were the farm team affiliate to the Seattle Mariners throughout the late 1980’s. A number of notable Major Leaguers played for the Cannons including Alex Rodriguez, Edgar Martinez and Jim Abbott. This diverse group of Cannons memorabilia is highlighted by a first year AAA Pacific Coast League game-worn jersey. In excellent overall condition and with no tagging present, there’s just some slight puckering to the team crest and back numbers to mention. A photo of the ’85 Cannons (included) shows this exact style jersey being worn by the team. Next we have 4 Cannons media guides from the years 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988. All are complete and in excellent condition. A Danny Tarabull 1985 baseball card, with him in Cannons uniform, and an “I was there” Home Opener button and small Cannons pin also accompany this lot. As an added bonus this lot also includes a 1982 H&B 125 game-used Calgary Expos team bat and program. Genuine K48 model bat, with “Calgary Expos’ block letters stamped onto barrel. The bat measures 34” and has no condition issues with applied tar on handle. The 1982 program is in excellent condition.
