Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

The Vancouver Mounties were a high-level minor league baseball team that existed from 1956-1969. A number of notable individuals played with the club throughout their history, including Brooks Robinson, Tony LaRussa, Sal Bando and Jim Bouton. This group of artifacts from the club includes a game-used Jim Driscol bat. The bat has been shaved in half and mounted to a tasteful 7” x 39” plaque with “Mounties 1968” painted beneath, and 24 members of the ’68 squad have signed the bat, including Tony LaRussa and Mickey Vernon. It is in excellent condition and ready to mount. A notation on the back says “Duliba”, and most likely this plaque was presented to manager Bob Duliba. Accompanying the bat is an original 8” x 10” photo of the club, as well as a season pass (excellent condition) and 2 home game programs, both in very good condition.
