Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

Patrick Roy enjoyed eight prosperous seasons in Colorado culminating in two more Stanley Cup rings. This Starter Colorado Avalanche jersey was part of a multi-jersey deal purchased directly from the team in circa 1998. With Starter Center Ice Authentic tag in collar, as well as team patch stating “58G-11-23”, there’s additional NHL and Starter crests on the back bottom hem. With attractive tackle twill numbers and nameplate as well as matching Bigfoot patches on each shoulder, this garment worn by an all-time legend is in beautiful condition. With just a few small marks on the left and right sleeves in the elbow area, as well as above and on the team crest, there’s also some yellow staining on the interior opposite the nameplate. A loose-3” white thread in-between the right sleeve’s number is also mentioned strictly for complete accuracy. Accompanying this game-worn prize are two LOAs, one from the Colorado Avalanche signed by Greg Sherman as well as a second one. Here’s your chance to elevate your collection.
The deal, which included this Roy gamer and a few others, was purchased through Avalanche director of retail operations Sherman, who went on to become the team’s general manager, in conjunction with and through Brian Rogers at the Detroit Hockey Company.
