Modern juggernauts with 3 cup in 6 years, the Chicago Black Hawks don’t seem to be slowing down, and one wonders just how big a dynasty they’ll be able to carve out as time goes on. This lot of 6 signed Hawks items, a collection onto itself, is made up of 2 signed jerseys, 2 signed pictures (one framed), a signed stick and an autographed hat. One jersey is multi-signed by the 2006-07 Hawks and it has 23 signatures, including coach and HOFer Denis Savard. The other jersey and cap are both signed by Brian Campbell, while the limited-edition 2011-12 Black Hawks stick is signed by at least 17, including Toews and Hossa. The 2 signed pictures that round out this exciting autographed Hawks lot include a framed example autographed by Dave Bolland and Bryan Bickell, and one signed by 4, including Toews and Keith.
The breakdown for the autographs and condition of the 6 signed items in this lot are as follows:
The autographed 2011-12 limited-edition signed Hawks stick is in gorgeous condition, with no issues to note, and with all autographs executed in silver sharpie. These project perfectly against the sticks black colour. Autographs include Jamal Mayers, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Sean O’Donnell, Ray Emery and Brandon Bollig.
The Brian Campbell signed jersey and cap. The beautiful Reebok jersey has all its tagging and crests in place, and Brian has added a dark, vertical black marker signature that fits snug into his number “1” of “51”. The cap, which has been signed on the brim, has been executed in silver sharpie and it has somewhat soaked into the material.
The multi-signed CCM Black hawks jersey, with no condition issues, and with no back numbers or nameplate, has 23 signatures including Radim Vrbata, Patrick Sharp, Duncan Keith, Martin Lapointe, Rene Bourque, Tony Salmelainen, Adrian Aucoin, Michel Handzus and goalie Nikolai Khabibulin. All autos have been placed in black marker to the front of the jersey, surrounding the team crest, and all stand out well against the garments red material.
The first signed picture, entitled 17 seconds, is in reference to the 2 quick goals by Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland that clinched the cup for the Hawks. Framed to total dimensions of 23” x 27”, both goal scorers have added big blue sharpie signatures next to their respective images, and there are no condition issues to note with this framed beauty. The second signed and unframed (16” x 20”) photo, is a posed on-ice image of Kane, Hossa, Kopecky, Keith, Toews and Seabrook, and it has been signed by the latter four in gold sharpie, and is in excellent condition.
