Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
The IHL 50th patch is sewn on the right on breast of Peter Sidorkiewicz’s 1994-95 Fort Wayne Komets game-worn jersey. Bauer and IHL logos sit on the right rear tail of this black and white mesh beauty from the former minor league team. Pro Wear size XL and size 56 flag tags in the back of the neck are sewn over by nameplate stitching. The #1's on the sleeves and back are sewn-on differently than the #3's. Game use shows in black marks on the gorgeous Komets crest sewn on the front and on the upper left sleeve. Peter’s Komets equipment bag is also included. Comes with Peter Sidorkiewicz’s signed LOA.
“Perfection Bakeries” sponsors logo is embroidered in white thread on the left breast of the game-worn jersey. Peter Ing took over the No. 1 worn by Sidorkiewicz in 1993-94 for the 1994-95 season. Kirk Tomlinson wore No. 31 for 13 games for Komets in 1994-95 before he was traded to the Peoria Rivermen. Sidorkiewicz most likely took No. 31 after Tomlinson left. There is no sign of a nameplate change.
“Komet Hockey Club” and the team logo appear in orange on each side of the big black vinyl equipment bag. The stitching on part of the zipper seam has let go.
