Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
HOF center Mats Sundin’s signed game-used stick is featured in this lot of five gamers from a host of Toronto Maple Leafs greats, including Curtis Joseph, Wendel Clark, Dave Andreychuk and Al Iafrate. Three of the game-used sticks have their original tape jobs on the knob and blade. Sundin’s Nike wood stick had its tape job removed from the blade for the Swedish superstar to apply his big bold blue marker autograph. Andreychuk’s CCM Tacks wood stick had tape removed from its signed blade, which had cellophane tape applied to repair it as well as the bottom of the shaft. All five players played for Toronto at some point, but these sticks where not necessarily used with the Maple Leafs.
“Mats Sundin” factory graphics are printed on the blackened shaft of the captain’s Nike gamer, which retains his white tape job on the knob. Game wear includes a chip on the shaft with red paint transfer;
Clark’s dedicated black marker autograph is sprawled across the front of Wendel’s white tape job on the blade of his Bauer Supreme gamer, which has “Clark” stamped on the shaft below his white tape knob with loose strands of his blue gauze tape outer wrap;
“Cujo” is stamped on the shaft of Joseph’s Bauer R6000 game-used stick, which has Curtis’ original tape jobs on the knob, handle, upper paddle and blade;
“Andreychuk” is stamped on the shaft of Dave’s CCM Tacks game-used stick, which he has signed in black marker on the blade;
“Iafrate” is stamped on the shaft of Al’s Sher-Wood SOP 9950.
