Arguably considered one of the best players to ever lace up the skates, there’s no telling what kind of career numbers Lemieux could have finished with had he stayed healthy for the length of it. This Koho stick was game-used by Mario at a time when he was putting up some amazing numbers, with 70 goals in 1987-88, followed up by an unbelievable 85 notches in 1988-89. Great game use is immediately apparent, with a ton of black streaks going the length of the stick, on both the top and bottom section of the shaft from contact with other sticks during face-offs. The original tape jobs on the blade and upper shaft remain in place, with “Lemieux” stamped on the upper shaft. A factory code on the backside of the shaft, beneath the lower striping sticker reads “1749 3”, and Mario has added a nice gold colored sharpie signature, also just beneath the bottom striping sticker. And just like Mario, this stick was made in Canada.
