Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Centering the famous “Triple Crown Line” with wingers Charlie Simmer and Dave Taylor, Marcel Dionne was part of the most expensive deal in the NHL up to that point when he was traded from Detroit to Los Angeles. This Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model stick was game-used by Dionne in the late-1980s. With the original white tape on the blade and upper shaft, “Dionne” and his number have been stamped below the taped shaft, and a date stamp just above the heel on the backside of the stick has been covered in fiberglass and is illegible. Nice game-wear is exhibited with puck marks on both sides of the blade as well as some associated wear to the edges of the lower part of the shaft. With its striping sticker still in place and an excellent overall appearance, this Dionne gamer is sure to please.
