Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Chosen second overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Brendan Shanahan enjoyed a prosperous career that resulted in three Stanley Cups, and enshrinement in hockey’s house of holy. This early-2000s signed and game-used Easton Classic stick was employed by Brendan during the era of his 2002 Stanley Cup victory. It was also during this time that he scored his 500th career goal, and won Gold with Team Canada at the 2002 Olympics. With just light wear and use evident, the original tape jobs on both the blade and shaft/knob remain, and Shanahan has added a bold blue sharpie autograph to the lower part of the stick just above where the wooden blade (stamped “Shanahan”) is inserted into the aluminum shaft. With just some wear and abrasions limited to the front side of the shaft, there are no other condition issues to note.
