Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Oh, the time one could spend examining and marveling at these classic images! They’re of course well-known to vintage card enthusiasts, but not everyone can say they’ve seen them in this form, with a total of 242 cards, with printed backs, making up the cardboard sheet which measures a whopping 41’’ by 55’’. Creased cards never looked so good(!), with multiple creases, edge tears and a few peripheral stains among the condition issues, with beholders thinking, so what. What fun it is to spot prominent players, with four each of the two different Gordie Howe cards, four each of Plante and Beliveau, five of Richard, six of Horton and so on and so on – what a blast. A four-inch rip and a pair of two-inch tears are in the right edge, with a few other smaller ones and fading to the yellow background cards also to note. Fascinating hobby rarity will stop people in their tracks – this beauty needs to be displayed!
