Selected 8th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 1981, Grant Fuhr backstopped the team to their 4 Stanley Cup victories in the early-1980s. This lot contains 3 sticks game-used by Fuhr.
1 – Franklin 8000 model goalstick from the mid-1990s. With the original tape on the knob, “Fuhr G.” and “31” has been stamped on the upper shaft. In excellent condition, the tape has been removed from the blade so that Grant could add a nice black marker signature with “Best wishes”.
2 – Christian 100 model goalstick from circa 1994. The original tape job on the blade and shaft remains, with “Fuhr” stamped on the upper shaft and underside. Good game-use shows on the taped blade and with a small crack on the bottom section of the paddle, and Fuhr has signed across the blade in black marker.
3 – Sher-Wood PMPG model goalstick from the late-1980s. With the original tape on the blade and knob, “Fuhr G.” has been stamped onto the upper shaft. Game-use is visible with wear to the blade, and to a chip in the upper paddle.
