Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

Having now played for over a quarter of the teams in the NHL, Czech-born Jaromir Jagr can be considered a living legend. The leading point scorer among active players, he is the most productive European player the NHL has ever seen. These two sticks were game-used by Jagr during the 1990’s while he was with Pittsburgh. First we have a Christian 2000, and it shows just light use, with the black tape on the blade and upper shaft/knob still in place. With “Jagr” and his “68” in factory graphics on the upper shaft, Jaromir has also placed a solid blue marker signature to the lower shaft area, just above the striping sticker. The second stick is a Koho Vector DRC model, with “Jagr” stamped onto the upper shaft. The tape remains in place on the blade, as well as the multi-colour job on the upper shaft/knob area. Jagr has placed a nice black marker signature to the wooden blade, just above the heel. An excess of glue is also on the lower shaft, just above where the wooden blade is inserted into the composite shaft. This is a very desirable pair of sticks, from one of hockey’s all-time greatest players.
