1950s NHL forward Danny Lewicki was inducted into the the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 1989 and the wear on his ring clearly demonstrates how proud he was of the honor. Lewicki, who was born in Fort William (now part of Thunder Bay), had 105 goals and 240 point in 461 games with Toronto, New York and Chicago from 1950-59. Originally from Lewicki’s collection, this ring features the Hall’s enamel logo on the tableau with the well-worn but still legible text "NW Ontario Sports Hall of Fame" encircling it on the bezel. “19” and “89” appear on the shanks and "Danny Lewicki"is engraved inside the size 10 ring, which is otherwise unmarked but seems to be made of silver.
