Trio of items that once belonged to the legendary Hector “Toe” Blake features the coaching great’s 1948-49 Valleyfield Braves team photo. The deceased HOFer is pictured in his 1948-49 Valleyfield Braves coach’s jacket on the far right of the back row of this awesome crease-free 20” x 8” panoramic team photo that features five players who had, or would go on to have, NHL experience. Valleyfield “Braves” is marked between very thin and light pencil lines along the bottom margin of the photo, which has the Studio R Lavoie notation on the bottom right. Also included is Toe’s 1987-88 The Hockey News Itech King Clancy Memorial Award plaque and Blake’s signed photo ID pass for the 1976 NHL Annual Meeting in Montreal.
Members of the 1948-49 Braves who played in the NHL include Connie Brown, Larry “King” Kwong, Andre Corriveau, Jack Schmidt and Rosario Joannette.
Blake’s King Clancy plaque measures 12” x 9”, and the 59th NHL Annual Meeting 1976 pass is 3” x 2”.
