Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
An instrumental component to the New York Islanders dynasty in the early-1980s, Bob Bourne was averaging over sixty points a season in that era. This Sandow SK New York Islanders jersey was worn by Bourne in the Islanders dynasty years. With faded Sandow and laundry tags in the collar as well as tackle twill name and numbers, there’s also the Sandow SK rubberized logo on the lower back hem. Great game-use is visible with a large black stick mark that struck the center of the team crest as well as board burns around the left shoulder, back bottom band and right elbow. There are also at least 4 different team repairs with the largest on the right shoulder being almost 3” and reinforced stitching to the team crest which seems to have been done by the team. Finally, there’s an added small stain on the back number “4”, mentioned strictly for full disclosure. Comes with LOAs.
