Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
From the dawn of the Bluenote come this inaugural season gamer worn by Terry Crisp, who played in the Stanley Cup final a total of six times during his nine full seasons in the NHL. The original Rawlings size 44 and washing instruction tags remain sewn onto the inner hem of this formidable durene beauty from the Blues' historic first NHL season in 1967-68, the only campaign that saw St. Louis use square shoulders on their jerseys. Crisp’s game-worn jersey is photo-matched to the “1” on the left sleeve and the unaligned white and blue stripes on the left side hem at the hip. There are two solid team repairs on the left sleeve, which has board burns above the stripes, to the left of the photo-matched number.
More game wear includes inner pilling. The photo match on the “1” on the left sleeve shows the distinctly downward stitch pattern in the blue thread on the top left and right edge of the serif at the bottom, as well as by the downward slant of the bottom right corner of the white twill outline, which is located just above the blue thread team repair above the number.
