Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

The late Gilles Villeneuve was a comet on the track and in his all-too-short life, streaking by in a flash and suddenly gone forever. Villeneuve won six Grand Prix races overall from 1977-82, including three in 1979 when he finished runner-up to Ferrari teammate Jody Scheckter for the Formula One drivers' championship. Montreal's Formula One racetrack was named Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in his honour in 1982 after he was killed in a horrific crash during qualifying for that year's Belgian Grand Prix. Gilles placed his signature on a 3 1/2" x 5" photo which is beautifully displayed in a framed montage containing five other photos of the legend with everything professionally matted and framed to perfection. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
