Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Selected third in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, we have here Alex Galchenyuk's 2014-15 game-worn and photo-matched Canadiens jersey with the important Jean Beliveau memorial patch. With correct tagging in the collar, and handwritten "1" for set 1, this garment also has the Canadiens team patch affixed to the lower inner hem. Game wear for this beauty can be positively photo-matched to images showing both loose threads on the right sleeve numbers, and to the semi-circular long black mark on the front lower hem. Don't miss out on this Galchenyuk Habs gamer that was worn while celebrating a Montreal legend.
Details for wear and photo-matched images are as follows;
Oct. 11th Getty image 457081464 is photo-matched to the team repair/cut on the lower back of the jersey.
Dec. 15th photo photo-matched to the previously mentioned black semi-circular mark on the lower front hem, as well as to a pair of loose threads on the team crest, and loose threads on the lower left part of the 7 on the right sleeve.
The Montreal Canadiens first wore the Beliveau Memorial patch in their December 5th 2014 game vs Chicago. On these set “1” jerseys, the Beliveau Memorial patch was worn in their December 5th and 6th games vs Chicago and Dallas, the first two games the Canadiens wore the patch honoring the late Jean Beliveau. The set “1” jerseys were worn starting on October 8th and up to and including December 6th. They were also worn in a few preseason games.
