Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Whether it's pointing out his accomplishments with the Habs, Team Canada, or even during his tenure with the Hamilton Bulldogs, what's probably more important to the average fan is how Carey has accorded himself as a complete gentleman during his hockey career. Its poetically fitting then that we have here Carey Price's 2014-15 Montreal Canadiens game-worn and photo-matched jersey with the Jean Beliveau memorial patch. This Reebok beauty has "Goalie Style size 58" tags in the collar, with handwritten "1" for set 1. The team patch is affixed to the hem, and the fight strap has been cut. The all important circular "4" Beliveau memorial patch, which we must point out was added by the team to the jersey following it's use by Price - is located over the right breast. This garment is photo-matched to a number of black marks just below both sides of the "H" in the team crest, as well as marks just above the crest. These marks are matched to images as they appear throughout the month of October. A big black mark on the left sleeve can also be photo-matched. With good visible wear, this forever-classic style Habs jersey game-worn by Carey Price would be a center piece in any modern Canadiens collection. LOAs from both Classic Auctions and the Montreal Canadiens will accompany this important uniform.
Details for dates and photo-matches for this Price jersey are as follows; Oct. 8th Getty image 457324058 is matched to a black mark at the top of the team crest. On these set “1” jerseys, the Beliveau Memorial patch was worn in their December 5th and 6th games vs Chicago and Dallas, the first two games the Canadiens wore the patch honoring the late Jean Beliveau. The set “1” jerseys were worn starting on October 8th and up to and including December 6th. They were also worn in a few preseason games.
