Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Ted wore this white knit home jersey by CCM in 1986-87. The Heart patch is affixed to the right shoulder and sewn to the left shoulder is the King Clancy patch. This combination of patches was only worn during the second half of the 1986-87 season and easily ranks among the toughest and most desired styles for collectors. The CCM logo is embroidered onto the tail in the blue/blue/red combination and a heavily-reinforced belt style fight strap is sewn inside. With no signs of a plate change, everything appears to be correct and original. The shirt has been well-laundered, as was the Leafs pattern, but existing game wear includes a few good stick marks, material pulls and a team repair on the lower front. Obtained decades ago from a former Maple Leafs equipment staffer. Your chance to obtain a rare and sought-after two-patcher!
Neck tagging is no longer there but you can still make out where it had been in the back of the collar. Defenseman Ted Fauss won the Calder trophy with the American Hockey League Sherbrooke Canadiens in 1985 then played sparingly with the Toronto Maple Leafs seeing action in 28 games over two seasons.
