Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
A really interesting Broad Street garment here with Frank Bathe's 1982-83 Philadelphia Flyers game-worn jersey. Sandow Sports size x-large and washing tags remain in the collar, as well as a screened-on Sandow SK logo on the bottom right black band section of the hem. A little bit of puckering has occurred to both the team crest and back numbers from washing, and a tiny amount of staining around the perimeter of the Flyers logo is present, only mentioned for accuracy. With a single team repair located on the black band section of the right sleeve, this garment still has its fight strap attached, and it's in overall gorgeous condition. This was the first year for this style Flyers uniform, and anyone wanting an authentic 80's Philadelphia jersey would be more then pleased with this example.
Bathe enjoyed a memorable season in 1982-83, playing in a career high 57 games, and he was just coming of a season in 1981-82 where he was awarded the Barry Ashbee Trophy as the Flyers best defenceman.
