Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
It's not often in sports that an international match has more fans in attendance from the visitors than the host country, but this was seemingly the case with the 2005 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Grand Forks North Dakota. Rabid Canadians flooded over the border from Winnipeg, southern Manitoba, and even Ontario, and descended on Ralph Engelstad arena in Grand Forks to cheer their country onto victory. Those who made the journey were rewarded with a Canadian gold-medal win. This official team Canada Nike jersey was worn by Jeff Carter in the tournament, it's in beautiful condition with the fight strap present, and it comes with a Team Canada Authentics LOA. With proper IIHF tagging on the lower bottom, this patriotic garment also has Nike's inventory bar code heat-pressed onto the inner lower hem.
