Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
We have a historic offering here with Brett Hull's 2005-06 Phoenix Coyotes #9 game-worn jersey. This item is significant for a few reasons. First, this jersey was worn by Hull on October 8 2005, a date that saw Wayne Gretzky register his first win as an NHL coach. It was also memorable for the fact that the Coyotes un-retired the Number 9 that Brett's father Bobby wore in Winnipeg, allowing him to use the number for the remainder of his career. With no signs of damage to mention on this tie-neck, a number of important patches are present, including the NHLPA "Cares" Katrina Relief Fund, placed above the right breast, Phoenix team patch over the right shoulder and a Reebok patch just above Hull's nameplate. A COA from the NHLPA Katrina Relief Fund is also included.
