Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

A super cool Chicago Black Hawks cardigan, it has a story relating to it's provenance that might be even cooler. This nifty sweater was obtained by the consignor's grandfather, who was the first main boat captain for Hawks owners James Norris and Arthur Wirtz! Gorgeous condition throughout on this cream-colored wool, with only a few tiny stains mentioned on the collar and back for the sake of accuracy. Matching bright and colorful tomahawk patches adorn both shoulders, each showing some slight wear at the point where the tomahawks cross, and a gorgeous big Black Hawks logo dominates the entire left breast. Tagging in the collar states that this particular cardigan was made by Olympic Sporting Goods of Detroit. With measurements of 26" from the bottom of the back to the top of the collar, and sleeves measuring approx. 21", this appears to be a man's small. A great garment with neat provenance from the days of the original six.
