Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The late Bill Mosienko’s 1950-51 Black Hawks game-used stick is autographed by 19 members of the team, including fellow deceased HOFers Harry Lumley, Roy Conacher, Doug Bentley and coach Ebbie Goodfellow. Mosienko, who signed below his taped knob, scored three goals in 21 seconds the following season in a game against the Rangers. Bill Gadsby makes it a total of six HOFers who have signed in black marker on the front and top sides of the shaft of Mosienko’s straight-blade stick with his No. “8” handwritten in black marker below his original tape job on the knob. Some vintage tape was added to the heel of the original tape job on the blade. Game wear includes red goalpost paint transfer high on the back of the shaft, which is stamped “McNiece’s” with two blue accent stripes.
Others who have signed include Pete Babando, Jim Conacher, Bep Guidolin, Adam Brown, Don Morrison, Al Dewsbury, Ernie Dickens, Doug McCaig and Hugh Coflin, who only played for the Black Hawks in 1950-51.
