Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Wonderful images here, from a happy time in Toronto Maple Leafs’ history, are on scarce real photo postcards and are enhanced by blue ballpoint autographs which create an infrequent opportunity to score individual signed photos of legends Terry Sawchuk and Tim Horton at the same time – sweet. Both the Horton card and his near perfect autograph display the best, while Sawchuk’s penmanship is somewhat weaker; not so much the signature than the “Best Wishes” above which can only be fully deciphered when viewed at an angle. A horizontal side-to-side crease underlines “Maple”, while light, not-very-detracting cracking is spotted in the upper portion, but you’ll be zeroing-in on the autograph. Nifty complements are signed similar blank-backed (3-1/2" x 5-1/2") RPPCs of Frank Mahovlich and Don McKenney, the sig on the former rather weak and multiple creases affecting the latter. Special lot is bound to excite several.
