Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Currently the head coach for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL, Kevin McClelland previously enjoyed parts of 12 seasons in the NHL. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by McClelland, when he only played three games for the club in 1990-91. The Maska Ultrafil tag remains affixed to the collar including handwritten “52”, with embroidered CCM and NHL patches on the bottom hem. Accented with tackle twill numbers and a beautiful clean team crest, the back name letters have been sewn directly onto the sweater. With only 3 possible games of service for the garment, visible use is light, with just a few random marks present. We should also note that the possibility exists that this jersey saw duty in the 1990-91 pre-season as well.
