Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Defenseman Bruce Cassidy’s classic red Chicago Black Hawks game-worn jersey featuring the skinny team crest sewn on the front was most likely used by the future NHL coach at the end of the 1987-88 season, and possibly recycled into the following preseason and/or start of the 1988-89 season. Maska flag tag sits in the back of the neck of Cassidy’s No. 37 gamer which has a dozen team repairs, including some elaborate sewing fixes low on the left sleeve. The CCM logo is embroidered on the right rear tail and the heat-screened Gunzo’s logo is lightly faded on the left side.
There are two team repairs on the front of the left shoulder, one to the left of the “3” on the left sleeve, another to the right of the “7” on the same sleeve which has green paint transfer at the bottom, six more elaborate sewing fixes low on the left sleeve, one low on the right sleeve, and one on the left side of the collar.
