Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Talk about going out on top, when Wayne Gretzky scored his final goal on March 29, 1999 it was No. 1,072 of his illustrious pro career, including NHL and WHA regular season and playoff games. Incredibly, that gave him one more goal than Gordie Howe scored during his long and amazingly productive career in regular season and playoff games in both leagues. Superb framed display features a signed Gretzky Rangers puck and a signed Howe Red Wings puck mounted recessed in a frame below an 8x10 photo of the Great One brandishing milestone goal puck No. 1072 in his Rangers uniform. Each puck comes with its own UDA COA.
The “85/99” limited-edition notation is handwritten in black marker to the right of the “Gretzky (1072) and Howe (1071) Most Goals in Pro Hockey History” plaque on the bottom right of the white matte that surrounds the photo. Gretzky placed a silver paint pen autograph on the top of the Rangers puck, which has a UDA hologram sticker at the bottom. Howe signed in gold paint pen on the top of the Red Wings puck, which also has a UDA hologram sticker at the bottom. The frame measures 14 3/4" x 20 3/4" and is 2” deep.
