Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Fantastic lot of two signed pieces commemorates Bobby Orr as a perennial NHL All-Star Game participant from 1968-75. Orr signed in bold black marker with his #4 to the right of the orange and black double twill NHL shield sewn on the left front of his All-Star jersey with the “80/144” limited-edition number written in black marker on the left front hem. Bobby and fellow HOFer Yvan Cournoyer have each signed in bold blue marker on the ice below their images in their All-Star uniforms on a framed 16x20 action photo with a Great North Road hologram on the bottom left corner. Wonderfully displayed as professionally displayed.
The Great North Road patch in collar of the jersey has size 50 handwritten in black marker. All of the crests and numbers on the jersey are sewn-on twill, including the surname letters on the nameplate. The white stars on the tails and sleeves are sublimated and outlined with sewn-on black twill. There is a light black mark on the right front.
The 25” x 30” frame has a “Bobby Orr NHL All Star 1968-75” plaque set in the matte at the bottom.
