This magnificent 1973-74 Boston Bruins Prince of Wales Championship Trophy was presented to the late Carol Vadnais back in the day for the Big, Bad Bruins’ regular season East Division title. Vadnais had 16 goals and 59 points, yet finished sixth in team scoring. Esposito, Orr, Hodge and Cashman finished in the Top 4 in NHL scoring and the Bruins went 52-17-9 for 113 points, one ahead of West winners Philadelphia. This 13-inch-tall silver-plated and wooden miniature replica of the Prince of Wales Trophy originally came from Vadnais’ personal collection. "NHL Champions - Winners 1973-74 Boston Bruins" is engraved on a plaque on one side of the 2-inch-tall wood base. Carol’s and the trophy's names appear on a metal plaque. The trophy has acquired a golden patina and is nicely preserved overall.
There is a small ding on the lip of the cup and the felt on the bottom of the wood base was most likely changed at some point.
