Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Martin Brodeur’s photo-matched 1999-2000 Devils Heaton game-used stick is signed in black marker on the paddle by the NHL’s all-time leader in goalie wins, games played and shutouts. Pale “M. Brodeur” is is visible on the shaft and the "3 Nov. 1999" date stamp sits on the bottom of the handle. Marty’s original tape jobs remain on the knob, which has “MTL” written on it for its use in a game against the Canadiens, and on the blade, which offers the photo match to the rip in the black bulldog tape and the black mark in the middle. Solid game wear along the bottom edge of this stick used by a sure-bet Hall of Famer.
New Jersey Devils only played in Montreal on December 16, 1999 and February 24, 2000 during the 1999-2000 season, so this signed Brodeur game-used stick is from one of two games as it is photo-matched to a photo from a game against the Canadiens at the Bell Centre (then known as the Molson Centre).
