Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Often overshadowed by his superstar brother, Dennis Hull had a slap shot that was almost as threatening as Bobby’s in the early-1970s with the Chicago Black Hawks. Dennis had seasons of 40, 30, 39 and 29 goals during that era. His No. 10 Black Hawks game-worn jersey dates from then with its original single color sewn-on black twill numbers on the back and both sleeves. There is the outline of two former tags in the collar and an outline of the former team crest is visible on the front of the jersey, which now has a recently added team crest. This gamer has outlines of square patches on the shoulders so it was most likely recycled to a farm team after it was worn by Dennis Hull. Loads of game wear with numerous team repairs on each sleeve, red paint transfer on the left sleeve, and blue paint transfer on the right sleeve.
The black twill numbers are somewhat faded, and the black twill on the crossed tomahawks C patches on the shoulders are very faded. There are various sewing fixes on the numbers on the back and both sleeves.
