Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Defenceman Trevor Johansen was traded from the Maple Leafs to the Colorado Rockies during the 1978-79 season and at season's end was asked to join Team Canada for the World Championships in Moscow. The young Johansen performed admirably, contributing a couple of goals and an assist in 8 games. Trevor's untagged red and white mesh jersey features screened-on logos, numbers and letters. The sweater has been preserved in outstanding condition with only the "Johansen" on the back having somewhat faded. There is a 2-inch square hole in the lower front white hem to mention because the manufacturer’s logo was nixed by the IIHF. Jersey was originally obtained from the Marvin Goldblatt collection, a longtime Team Canada official and comes with his signed LOA.
