Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Bruins great Gerry Cheevers used this signed Northland Pro gamer during the mid-1960s when he was starting out his HOF career with Boston. Cheevers placed a big bold blue marker autograph with his “HOF 85” induction year annotation on the bare paddle. A few vintage autographs are noticeable on the shaft including those of Ron Murphy and Murray Oliver, who were teammates of Cheevers with the Bruins in the mid-1960s. “Cheevers” is stamped on the shaft with a vintage wrap of white tape around it like Gerry’s tape job that remains on the knob. Cheevers’ tape jobs remain on the top of the paddle and on the blade and solid game wear includes red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft, which has shaved edges on the lower handle.
