Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Slovakian goalie Peter Budaj’s 2012-13 Canadiens game-worn home jersey is photo-matched to three games in the lockout-shortened season. Budaj started two of the games and allowed just one goal to Philadelphia on February 16, 2013 while wearing this gamer before making 19 saves for the shutout in a 3-0 win against Carolina on February 18. The team repair on the top left front of the jersey shows in several Getty Images photos from each game as does the black mark on the lower left side of the CH crest. Goalie style and size 58 flag tags sit in the back of the neck, which has “1” written in black marker, and the 2012-13 Canadiens game-worn jersey team patch is sewn inside the rear tail.
More game wear shows in a mark on the right front tail, a board burn on the right elbow, light stains on the lower white band on the right sleeve, and pilling on the left cuff. The team repair on the left front has a fabric patch inside the jersey.
The jersey is also photo-matched by the mark on the team crest to a shot of Budaj during the warmup on February 6.
