Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The Legendary Russian defenseman Slava Fetisov did it all: Olympic gold medals, world championships and Stanley Cups on his way to the Hockey Hall of Fame and the IIHF Hall of Fame. The 1995 Stanley Cup Final patch is sewn on the right breast of Fetisov’s game-worn home jersey from Detroit’s final series against New Jersey. The Red Wings 95 Playoffs team stamp is screened in red inside the rear tail, which exhibits pilling. East Side Team Sports tagging sits in the back of the neck along with a Maska Air-Knit flag tag. Nice game wear includes diagonal black marks through the “E” and “T” red twill sewn-on surname letters and between the upper part of the No. 44 on the back, as well as black marks on the front and both sleeves. Comes with a Red Wings LOA.
We found an image of a Parkhurst hockey card which seems to show some of the black marks on the right "4" of the No. 44 on the left sleeve, as well as a few black marks in the white band below, but unfortunately the resolution is not high enough to call it a definitive photo-match.
