The No. 1 pick in the 1993 NHL Draft, goalie Marc-Andre Fleury helped lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a Stanley Cup in 2009 and claimed an Olympic gold medal with Canada the following year. Fleury’s 2005-06 and 2006-07 Penguins game-worn jersey is photo-matched to two different 2006-07 Fleury hockey cards by distinctive black marks on the front. More game wear shows in red goalpost paint transfer on the back of each sleeve. Fleury’s No. 29 is written in black marker on the goalie style flag tag that sits in the back of the neck along with a size 58 flag tag. Pens equipment manager Dana Heinze has signed the fight strap in black marker and the Penguins Set# 3 2005-06 team patch is sewn inside the rear tail and it comes with a 2006-07 Set# 1 team LOA signed by Dana Heinze as well.
The black marks on the left breast above the Penguins crest show clearly on one card. The other card shows the diagonal black mark in the same location as well as three areas of black marks on the right front, including one that touches the tip of the Penguin’s hockey stick.
