Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
The first goaltender to sport a painted design on his mask, Doug Favell guarded the creases of three different clubs throughout his dozen NHL seasons including Philadelphia, Toronto and Colorado. From his time with the Rockies (1976-79), we have a stick used by the St Catharines native. A Victoriaville Pro model with D Favell graphics over the upper shaft, the original white tape is in place over the blade and knob (“33” is also handwritten to the upper shaft in black marker), with most of the striping accents intact over the paddle and handle. Heavier use is shown with the blade appearing uncracked, with numerous puck marks to the frontside blade and lower paddle, with a few additional marks to the shaft.
