This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Utterly dominate on the international hockey scene, the Soviet Union won dozens of World Championships and Olympic gold medals, with countless legends donning the dreaded "CCCP" including Vladislav Tretiak, Valeri Kharlamov, Igor Larionov and Sergei Makarov. This CCCP Russian national team jersey originates from circa-1977, and it’s attributed to defenceman and later NHL assistant coach, Zinetula Bilyaletdinov. A Kisapuku label with “52” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a laundering tag placed directly beneath. Featuring “CCCP” placed across the chest in individual red twill letters, “14” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with no nameplate on the jersey. Exhibiting moderate to heavier use, there is wear to the rubberized striping bands, with small holes/slits over the front and sleeves. There is also a tear to the collar, with light red paint transfer visible on each sleeve.
