Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
A 9th round draft choice of the Montreal Canadiens in 1994, netminder Tomas Vokoun received a pair of NHL All-Star selections throughout his career, along with a pair of gold medals while representing the Czech Republic at the World Championships. This Montreal Canadiens jersey was worn by Vokoun in the preseason circa 1997-98. A CCM “Goalie Style” label is affixed to the collar along with a size “60” fly tag, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, the white V-neck has been accented with layered tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Vokoun” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. There is also evidence of a former nameplate, with the jersey most likely issued to Pat Jablonski originally, who wore #39 for the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons, and it was possibly used by him. There are a few marks beneath the lower front band and light wear to the team crest, with a few additional marks over the left sleeve. There is also heavy pilling along the right side of the collar. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
