A gold medal winner with Team Canada at the 1991 World Junior Championships, Pierre Sevigny was drafted in the third round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. The Trois-Rivières native would dress in parts of three seasons for the Habs, with a trio of games played for the New York Rangers, in 1997-98. This Canadiens jersey was worn by Sevigny in either his rookie season of 1993-94, or in the following season, 1994-95. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “20” appears over the sleeves and verso in white-over-blue tackle twill, with “Sevigny” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Exhibiting light to moderate game use, there are burns and scuffs over each sleeve with a few small resulting holes, with a fairly large slit over the upper left sleeve. There is also a bit of loose threading over the nameplate. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
