Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A lengthy pro hockey career that included playing in the NHL, IHL and German DEL, Yves Racine also represented Canada internationally, winning a gold medal at the 1994 World Championships. From his time in Montreal that included two seasons during the mid-1990s, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by the Matane native in either 1994-95 or 1995-96. Maska and size “56” labels are affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “29” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in white-over-blue tackle twill, with “Racine” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Exhibiting light to moderate game-use, there are a few random material pulls along with board burns over the left sleeve and a small resulting hole, with a second very small hole over the upper part of the sleeve. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany.
