Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Hall of Fame right wing Brett Hull added an Olympic silver medal in 2002 to a trophy case that already boasted a Stanley Cup, Hart and Lady Byng Trophies, Pearson Award and the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. Hull’s 2002 Winter Olympics Team USA game-worn jersey is photo-matched to the final against Canada at Salt Lake City. An action photo of Hull sticking it to Canada’s Simon Gagne during the February 24 gold medal game at the E Center clearly shows the diagonal black mark on the white band on the lower right sleeve of his #16 game-worn jersey. Nike size 56 and IIHF tagging sit in the back of the neck along with a Made in Canada flag tag and a heat-pressed USA Hockey patch to the right. The fight strap was cut and the IIHF patch is sewn on the right rear tail. Comes with Brett Hull’s signed LOA.
More game wear includes black marks and board burns on the right sleeve, a couple of marks on the white stripe on the left sleeve, and a horizontal white mark above the IIHF patch on the right rear tail.
